London Java Meetup - 14 June 2004 (J2EE/.NET interop)
As well as the excellent breakfast on tuesday, it will soon be time again for the latest evening meetup.

This month the topic will be integrating J2EE and .NET. After reading Ted Neward's blog entry on calling Java RMI services from .NET clients, and the latest Application Development Advisor article about integration.

Tower of Babel - Anders Sandberg
  • Is this a reality for you right now?
  • Should .NET be left to the desktop app market, and Java takes care of business behind the scenes?
  • What other alternatives to SOAP have you used for this interop?
  • whitepaper
  • Janeva uses CORBA to get everyone talking.
  • Even the other side are talking about it (heck they've got a book out!)
  • Will Swing ever be acceptable to Joe User?
  • All these and a lot less will be answered over a pint of beer this month...

Where: Smiths of Smithfield [map]
When: Monday 14 June 2004 - 5pm till closing time.
How much: FREE, but not as in beer.
Who's gonna be there?
